Earlier this year I was a part of project to help raise money for LLS. I photographed men and women from many of the Fort Wayne Fire Departments. These photographs were used to create a calendar to help raise money to support a great cause. The fundraiser comes to a close with a wonderful event that announces the winner (who raised the most money). At this event there are silent auction items that are bid on. This is how I met the Keena’s. They bid on my silent auction item and won!
They decided to use the session to get portraits of their 1 year old little girl and some winter family pictures. The Keena’s were absolutely amazing to photograph and their little girl was darling! Because the session was scheduled for mid December we decided to shoot at the Botanical Gardens. There are plenty of options for warm indoor shots as well as outdoors if the weather is mild. The temperatures ended up being very reasonable and we ventured outdoors for much of the session. These 1 year and winter family portraits turned out stunning! I absolutely love all the candid shots. Christmas Tree Farm Pictures

What better place to take winter family pictures than a Christmas tree farm. Every year we purchase a real tree to put up in our house. This year we decided to visit a local Christmas tree farm to cut down our tree. We were all so excited! I couldn’t miss the opportunity for a family picture. So from my family to yours…Merry Christmas!

I’m Pregnant

The Crago’s are a wonderful couple that volunteer in the 2’s room at our church… and they don’t even have children… until now! Alecia contacted me about doing a pregnancy announcement photo shoot to capture her husbands reaction and to surprise him with the joyous news that they were expecting their first child! I have the goosebumps just typing about it.
I was beyond excited to be a part of such a special moment between a husband and wife. This was my first session announcing a pregnancy to a husband. Alecia and I brainstormed and it just so happened their 5 year anniversary was right around the corner. As a tradition they always get anniversary pictures with a small chalkboard with how many years they have been married. This was perfect! The plan was to schedule a shoot for their 5th year anniversary portrait session. During the session, I had Kaylor turn his back to the camera and I switched their chalkboard out for the one I had created that said “You’re Going to Be A Daddy”! After several frames I prompted them to turn around and face each other…Don’t you love a good cliff hanger he he

Alecia is now 14 weeks pregnant and they just spilled the beans to all of their family and friends that they are expecting. Congrats you two!
Cora is 9 Months Old

I can’t believe it… Cora is 9 months old and look at her go! Cora can army crawl like a pro, loves grass and is even standing while holding onto something. We had an absolutely beautiful day for this fall portrait session. It seems like just yesterday I was photographing Cora as a newborn. She is as content as ever and when you get her going she is full of beautiful smiles. The main focus of this portrait session was Cora, but with Christmas right around the corner we snapped a couple pictures of the whole family for the Shriner’s Christmas card. Meinika Family Portraits

I have known the Meinika/Trier Family for about 10 years. Before all of us had kiddos of our own we would go on huge family vacations with The Meinika Family. They are blessed to have a very talented photographer of their own among the family; that is why it was even more of an honor to get to do their family portraits. Thank you Tam for reaching out, Thank you Leaha for helping me get all those little faces to look my way and Thank you everyone else for looking beautiful for your family portraits.
